Buzz Newz: Irish actor Ray Stevenson may have played the villainous British governor of Delhi Raj in ‘RRR’, but he was a much-loved man on set, as SS Rajamouli’s tribute for him made it clear. The much loved RRR Actor Ray Stevenson is no more with us.

“Shocking,” the “RRR” creator tweeted. “I can’t believe this news. Ray brought a lot of energy and drove with him to the set. It was very contagious. Working with him was pure pleasure. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”

According to media reports, Stevenson died on Sunday at the age of 58.
He began his career appearing in television shows in the 1990s, then acted in action roles in Hollywood films from the 2000s, most famously as Volstagg in the series Thor” by Marvel.
His first major film role was in 2004 in Antoine Fuqua’s adventure film “Le Roi Arthur”, where he played Dagonet, one of the Knights of the Round Table. In the film, his character sacrifices himself in battle to help Arthur (Clive Owen) and his warrior fraternity, ‘Variety’ reports.

In 2008, Stevenson landed a starring role in the Marvel film, “Punisher: War Zone,” where he played the famous mercenary, aka Frank Castle, “Variety,” added.
Prior to his death, Ray Stevenson was starring in the upcoming action-adventure limited series, ‘Ahsoka’, a spin-off of The Mandalorian’ from the Star Wars franchise. He plays Baylan Skoll, a former Jedi who survived Order 66 by fleeing to the Unknown Region. He is Shin’s master and Thrawn’s ally. It was his last role.
